From screen to chat in one tap

Arka's new screenshot option uses the browser's native capture API.

The fastest way to ask Arka about something on your screen is to show it.

Open the + menu and pick Take a screenshot. Your browser asks which window or tab you want to capture. Pick one. A frame is grabbed, dropped into the chat as an image, and Arka is ready to look at it.

How the screenshot capture works

The browser exposes a standard API called getDisplayMedia. We start a screen-capture stream, grab a single frame using ImageCapture (or a video element as a fallback for browsers that do not support it), then stop the stream immediately. Nothing is recorded or kept past that one frame.

The captured frame goes into the image upload pipeline as a regular PNG. From Arka's perspective, it is identical to any other image you uploaded. Read more about how we handle image data in our privacy policy.

When to use screenshot-to-chat

  • Error messages in an app you do not want to retype
  • UI mockups you want feedback on
  • Charts you want explained
  • Code you saw in a video tutorial that you can pause-and-capture
  • Forms that are confusing — show Arka, ask what each field means
